GOLDEN FIELDS AND HARVEST MOONS

Save the Date! The Eston River Trek is an annual event held on the 2nd Saturday in May. The 15th annual Eston River Trek will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2017, and the 17th annual River Trek will be held on Saturday, May 12, 2018.

Eston River Trek has something for everyone offering a 5 km for Youth and Golden Trekkers, 10 km, half marathon, full marathon and the notorious 40 mile trek. River Trek’s 40 mile challenge offers not only Saskatchewan's toughest walking challenge, but Canada's. The distance to be covered is 64 km (40 miles). The trek heads south of Eston on Highway #30, then west to the River (Lancer Ferry), then east along the South Saskatchewan River to Eston Riverside Regional Park, then north back to Eston.

Participants will see the region's amazing sunrise, the "Land of the Living Skies" and the breath taking prairie landscape. They will also be treated to a vibrant community spirit with great hospitality while embarking on a challenging and memorable trek.

The Eston River Trek Committee is proud that this event supports recreation in the community. Proceeds from this event are used to operate sports and recreation programs and facilities for all ages in Eston. Participants in the trek can also fundraise for the charity of their choice. Upon registration, an information package will be sent out that contains pledge sheets allowing trekkers to walk or run not only for the challenge, but also for a good cause.
