Nature
A wide variety of species call Eston home for at least part of each year, such as snowy owls, garter and bull snakes, antelope and even moose. The fall is great for whitetail and trophy mule deer hunting, and the river hills provide an excellent opportunity for partridge, grouse and pheasant hunting. The South Saskatchewan River, near the Eston Riverside Regional Park is a scenic river valley perfect for catching pike, goldeye and walleye.
During the spring and fall migrations, Eston is an oasis for a rich diversity of bird species. Locations within the area are also major staging areas for Canada and Snowy Geese as well as cranes.
