Eston's Town Council (Missing Kirk Cumisky)

Al Heron is serving his second term on Council and first as Mayor. Al and his wife Clare (Martin) retired to Eston after a career that included being a Recreation Director in Eston and Weyburn as well as the Department of Culture and Recreation. He has also worked with the Saskatchewan, Western Canada and Canada Games. Al is on the SUMA Board of Directors as the representative for the West Central Region as well as the E.K. Water Board and South Saskatchewan Watershed Authority Advisory Committee.

Lori Ries is serving her third term as councillor for the town of Eston. She was born in Wawota Saskatchewan and moved to Eston in August of 1993 after graduating from the University of Regina to teach at Eston Composite School. She is married to Raymond Ries and has two adult children. Lori is currently serving on the following boards and committees: Community Futures Meridian Region Board, Eston and District Fire Control Committee, Eston and District Community Development Board, Finance and Administration Committee, Public Works Committee, Health Recruitment and Retention and Community Futures Saskatchewan Board of Directors.

Audrey Tumback is serving her third term as councillor for the Town of Eston. She is retired after owning and operating Eston Flowers for 17 years. She is married, has seven children and eight grandchildren. Audrey is currently serving on the following boards and committees. Wheatland Regional Library Board, Recreation Board, Health Recruitment and Retention and Finance and Administration.

Stan Johnston is serving his first term as councillor for the Town of Eston. He was born and raised in Eston. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from Wheaton College, Wheaton, Illinois. He continued in graduate studies at the University of Oklahoma, Norman, Oklahoma and obtained his Petroleum Engineering certification in Alberta and was a member of APEGGA. After working in the international oil and gas industry for 40 years, he retired and returned home to Eston. He is married to Pat (Connor) and they have three grown children and eight grandchildren. Stan is on the Finance and Administration Committee, Human Services, E.K. Water Board and the Prairie West Historical Society in Eston.

Kirk Cumiskey is serving his first term on Council. Kirk was born in Plato, Sask. He and his wife Shawna operate K&S Tire in Eston. Kirk is on Protective Services, Public Works, Joint Operation and Health Recruitment and Retention.

Bob Mullock is serving his first term on Council. Bob and his wife Cheryl (Boyd) were both born and raised in Eston. Bob worked in Northern Ontario with a geo-physical crew and then obtained his journeyman welder certificate through SAIT. He returned to Eston and purchased Eston Welding and Machine from Norman Easton. Cheryl runs a home business, Intuitive Interiors. Bob is on Protective Services, Public Works, Joint Operation, West Central Municipal Aid and the E.K. Water Board.

Isabelle Ryde was born in Arcola and attended high school in Redvers. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree at the U of S and was employed by the Eston Elrose School Division for 15 years, the last 5 as an educational assistant. Isabelle and her husband Ken farm in the Eston area and have three grown children. Elected in October 2007 Isabelle sits on the following Committees - Eston and District Community Development, Protective Services, Human Services and is the Council representative on Communities in Bloom.

Gary Johnson has been the Administrator since 2001; he was the Assistant Administrator from 1986 to 1987 and was on Council from 1970 to 1984 with the last 7 years as Mayor. His career has included grain farming, Administrator of the Eston Union Hospital, Jubilee Lodge and as CEO for Prairie West and Assiniboine Valley Health Districts. Gary and his wife Lois (Thompson) were born and raised in Eston and have two children and six grandchildren.

Eston also has two junior members on council as school representatives. They are Heather Thomsom and Jenna Tysdal
